Magic Mushrooms is an ongoing project for multiple years. The project consists of macro photos of tiny mushrooms in the Netherlands. All mushrooms are photographed in their natural environment with natural light during the autumn periods. Every year, Dros spends late afternoons trying to catch that perfect light hitting just right through the dark Dutch forests to capture the mushrooms in a unique way. Dros all does this using his own unique approach and style, not using a tripod and using his magical touch of editing to give all the images a ‘magic’ look.

The name of the series, ‘Magic Mushrooms’ is also meant as a little bit of fun. As Albert Dros is a Dutch photographer, residing in Amsterdam, Magic Mushrooms kind of has 2 meanings. I guess you know what we’re talking about ;)
