About this series

My first trip to India was in 2012, and I was instantly enchanted.

The sounds, aromas and colors all combined to create a sensory overload. My camera was in overdrive. It felt like Disneyland for a photographer. The most unforgettable feast for my lenses were the colors, from the back-streets to the main markets, including the people themselves and their colorful personalities.

I hired a driver so I could explore parts of this amazing country but even if one spends a lifetime photographing in India, it won't be enough. This collection was shot between 2012 and 2016 in Bangalore and several locations in Rajasthan. I have worked with one of my mentors, National Geographic photographer Ashraf Talaat, to create this set of 12 beautiful images from a short-list of over 50 photographs. Not only would I be honored to have these photographs find new homes, but more importantly, I hope these images will inspire everyone to travel to India and truly experience this beautiful country and its people.
