Tara Workman is a Barbadian nature photographer living in the US Pacific Northwest. She has a unique approach to capturing beauty in simpler moments, celebrating the art of finding wonder in less obvious ways. Tara’s unique approach to photography is a breath of fresh air in a world that can often feel stale and predictable. Her ability to find beauty in the less obvious places is a true talent, and her work has garnered recognition from some of the most respected names in the industry. But what sets Tara apart from other photographers is her philosophy that “less is more.” By focusing on the small moments, she invites us to pause and appreciate the beauty that is sometimes overlooked.

Tara’s journey in photography started with point-and-shoot cameras and smartphones, capturing family gatherings and events. She was always interested in taking photos, and in 2016, she wanted to buy a new camera. She did her research and decided to purchase one that she could grow into. Her husband, who realized that she didn't know how to use the one she had, signed her up for a course to learn how to use it. Tara became obsessed with photography, and the rest is history.

Tara’s journey into photography is an inspiration to anyone who wants to follow their passions and explore their creativity. As a full-time family physician, she understands the importance of finding balance in life and the value of pursuing your interests outside of work. Her journey reminds us that it’s never too late to discover a new passion and that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible.

Her artistic vision has been influenced by her close friend Jerad Armijo and other photographers such as Alex Noriega, Sarah Marino, Jennifer Renwick, Bruce Percy, and Rene Algesheimer.

Tara has released several photo NFT collections including her sold-out series, Simple Elegance, on Sloika. Batsoupyum was an early and significant collector of Tara’s photography NFTs. She is excited about the potential that NFTs hold for artists.

As she continues to explore new opportunities and push the boundaries of her artistic vision, Tara Workman is a photographer to watch. Her ability to find simplicity in chaos and peace in nature is a true gift, and her work is a testament to the beauty that can be found in even the smallest moments of life.
