Snowfog

Burnish

This image is the result of a very spooky day. I was in Reno, Nevada and trying to get home to California up and over the Sierra Nevada mountain range. An unexpected October snow storm had me scrambling for an alternate route home that didn't require tire chains, and I ended up white-knuckling it through some snowy back roads down the mountain. I even saw a bear! Once I was through the worst of it, I stopped for a breather and got it together enough to make some images. I've rarely seen snow in my life, and I've never seen snow and fog together, so it was a cool moment to see my friend the fog even in the freezing cold mountains!
