The patterns that emerge in the paddy agricultural activity have always attracted photographers. Paddy fields have unique geometric shapes for each region. These can be triangles, quadrilaterals, polygons, or even circular. Paddy fields create outstanding images not only with their shapes but also according to the time the photo was taken. It is very different when you see the same fields in the morning and when you see them in the evening. This diversity turns into both a great opportunity for artists and a tough test that challenges the decision-making process.
My photograph, where diagonal lines, silhouette and reflection are formed together, was taken in the paddy fields around Kızılırmak, one of the longest rivers in Anatolia. I wanted to immortalize a geometric detail in the vast paddy fields at sunset. Paddy fields built on a flat and wide area enabled me to create this geometric composition. The photo was taken in Çorum, Turkey.
