Full of voices
After the fire in 2017, this trail was closed for years. So when we read in the paper that a portion was finally reopening to the public, we planned to hike the whole loop the next weekend. Many of the surviving trees have blackened trunks, but there were already flowers and ferns reappearing. We walked most of the way in silence.
