The Atacama desert is known to be a dream location to see the night sky. And it truly is.
Each location in which we create has its challenges and particularities. Sometimes it's the mosquitoes, sometimes the strong wind, and so forth. In the Atacama, the cold was most probably our main challenge. We were camping, as sleeping on the location was the most convenient option. But it was probably the longest time we ever shot in cold temperatures. We knew it was a unique opportunity for us to shoot the Milky Way from the southern hemisphere with such a clear sky. We did the best we could. In the morning, everything in the car was frozen. It was the confirmation for us that the cold we were feeling was not just in our heads!
