Torres del Paine national park is a real natural gem in the south of Chile. The main eye catcher of the park is the Paine massive. In this image you see the Cuernos del Paine (the horns) and Mt. Paine grande in the background. During a windy and rather pale day, I spent a while just enjoying the view from many scenic points in the national park. Towards sunset, I noticed lenticular clouds were starting to form, which indicated that it was going to get windier. I then tried to find a foreground element that I had never seen before in images and found this rock. Under normal conditions this rock would not even be worth a second look- but as wind kept increasing, the lake started getting wild and waves started growing.
The elements aligned- during sunset, the lenticular clouds were set on fire and the waves in the lake created a beautiful dynamic surrounding to showcase these epic peaks. A moment of joy was had!
