About this series
To fulfill a long-standing dream, I went on a solo trip to connect with myself through photography. Being alone in nature and learning the rhythms of the mountains was a truly humbling experience that I hope to do again someday. I was also met with both misadventures and serendipity, which led to the most remarkable experience.
Here are eight of my personal favorites from the hidden gems in the countryside of Gifu and Nagano Prefecture. This series received Honorable Mentions in the International Photography Awards (IPA) 2019 and Tokyo Foto Awards 2019 (TIFA) in the Deeper Perspective Category.
