Purple color defines royalty, power, and luxury. Although in some cultures it is also a symbol of grief. The Daisy here seems to be lamenting as it sheds one petal at a time moving towards its withering phase.
We must acknowledge every emotion. Although, when you experience pain and sorrow, remember that “This too shall pass”, that grief is only temporary.
Interesting Fact: Just like humans, daisies love to catch some sleep at night. Sure they may not be technically sleeping, but they do close their petals over their eyes until the sun rises back up in the morning.

I am of Indian origin, now a US based photographer. Since I was a child I’ve always loved taking pictures, my father liked taking pictures as well so we’ve always owned a camera. I’ve always loved photography but I started to pursue it professionally around mid 2012 once I moved to the US post my marriage. I got myself educated and became a Certified Professional Photographer through PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I also earned my Master Degree through PPA in January 2022. In this journey, I am very grateful to have earned many International Awards from organizations like PPA, MPI, WPE, WPPI and I was named 2021 Photographer of the year at our local guild Dallas Professional Photographers Association.
