Marco Maljaars lives in the municipality of Velsen the Netherlands. Near the coast and close to the lakes. He has always been photographing since his childhood, first with an Olympus analog camera and now digitally.
There has always been an interest in long exposures. It fascinates him enormously how everything fades and a different world arises. His work focuses on stillness, tranquility and serenity Which is expressed in black and white where the long exposure is most of the times used. The black and white images are post processed according the Zone System by Ansel Adams. Generating subtle high quality black and white.
