Abraham lake in the Canadian Rockies is well known for the methane ice bubbles that cover the frozen waters every year. For this image I went a little early on in the season and was treated to beautiful ice patterns along the lake edge as they just started to freeze. I love the different perspective of open water at this lake instead of being fully frozen. It was incredibly windy during this sunset, but the long exposure helps smooth and calm the wavy waters.
