This photo was taken at Yachiho Plateau in Nagano, Japan.
I arrived in the middle of the night when it was still pitch dark and waited in the car for the morning light to illuminate the larch forest.
In the morning, when the light hit, all the larch forests on the mountain slopes were stained pure white forming a beautiful winter pattern.
