Hyena - one of the most misunderstood & under-appreciated species in the animal kingdom.

Here’s some facts to prove the point :

Loosely claimed as purely scavengers - yet they kill 70-90% of what they eat

Hyenas are one of the best mothers in the animal kingdom, investing more energy per cub than any other terrestrial carnivore.

Often cast as being foolish and dull, instead they are among the most intelligent animals in Africa with complex social behaviors with collective group problem solving skills and can even count.

One of the most powerful jaws with up to 9,000 newtons of force per bite.

Evolution is a beast which only lets only the best through the door and Hyenas sure took a red carpet through that door.

Hyenas have evolved into masters of survival, so much so, even the lion skips a heartbeat with their presence. They rule the savannah on their own terms.

‘Mtawala’ in Swahili translates to ‘Ruler’
